Hi! I'm Kayla Smith, the founder of this organization and blog. More importantly, I am a youth advocate for sexual and mental health resources for teens. My passion for advocacy began at the age of 13 when I noticed the lack of healthcare access in my hometown, Belzoni, MS, and how it continued to hold my community back. Since then, I have worked as a youth advocate and workshop facilitator for various organizations, including Teen Health Mississippi, Schools Against Vaping, MedZone, and ETR. I've also had the opportunity to present research for the University of Michigan, creating principles to help improve and develop comprehensive sexual education curriculums worldwide. My passion for public health continues every day, and this blog will allow me to share my experiences in public health with everyone!
